Whoop 5.0 / Whoop MG – upcoming features for 2025

More: Whoop 5 / MG Review

Will Ahmed, Founder & CEO of WHOOP, has revealed six major feature updates set to launch this year, promising to elevate our Whoop experience. Here’s a closer look at what’s coming.

For those already tracking behaviours in the WHOOP app, you’ve likely noticed how these entries correlate with your performance and recovery metrics. The new Journal Trends feature will analyse these entries over extended periods, offering deeper insights. While it’s unclear whether WHOOP will focus solely on raw trends or tie them to long-term performance metrics, the latter seems likely, given WHOOP’s data-driven approach.

Enhanced User Profiles

Your WHOOP profile is about to get a notable makeover, resembling a dynamic social media feed. Expect visually engaging displays of your achievements, streaks, and personal records (PRs) over time, making your fitness journey both motivating and shareable.

Next-Level AI Coach

WHOOP’s AI Coach, already a leader in the fitness tech space, is getting even smarter. The updated version will deliver more personalised and intuitive guidance by recalling past interactions and preferences, helping you achieve your health goals more precisely.

Whoop chest Strap – Valuable ecosystem boost or would it be a commercial distraction?

This feature will allow you to track progress across strength exercises, highlighting metrics like weight lifted, PRs, and improvements in reps and sets over time. Whether you’re a seasoned lifter or just starting out, this tool will provide a clear picture of your strength gains.

Advanced Labs

Slated for release in October, “Advanced Labs” will integrate biomarker blood test results—similar to those offered by competitors like Ultrahuman—directly into the WHOOP app. This feature aims to consolidate your health data, including various biomarkers, into a single place – probably a new tab in the app. While details remain sparse, WHOOP’s track record suggests something innovative is in store.

Healthspan with WHOOP Age

A favourite among WHOOP 5 users, the WHOOP Age feature is now rolling out to WHOOP 4 users starting today. This tool estimates your biological age based on health metrics. For example, my WHOOP Age is over seven years younger than my chronological age, reflecting my very good fitness level.

More to Come

Will Ahmed hinted at further features in the pipeline that he didn’t want to disclose yet. #Exciting

These updates signal WHOOP’s commitment to delivering value to the monthly subscription. Some companies sit back and just take the subscription money. Whoop seems to understand the need to deliver.
