Apple watch Sales FALL Again
In potentially good news for Garmin and co, Apple’s latest financial results show a likely fall in Apple Watch sales. That fall is despite sales growth in every other business area and builds on 20% falls noted in the last quarter. Let’s look at the sales stats:
As you can see, Apple combines Watch sales with Home and accessory sales. Nevertheless, Watch & Home sales are likely declining.
Apple’s annual refresh strategy for Watch will probably have predictably positive success in September. However, Watch Ultra is more interesting as this year is perhaps the first year a Watch Ultra 3 would give owners of the original Ultra a reason to upgrade. Strong rumours for a Watch SE 3 (Watch 11e) are based on leaks from component suppliers, so that product will also trigger a new wave of upgrades this year.
For those interested, a new HomePod will come this year, which is expected to be a new format product for Apple. Also possible is a next-gen TV4K/TV8K – although I'd love to buy such a product, it's the least likely of all those mentioned here.

I wonder how much wearables and accessories is driven by Apple Watch vs AirPods.
I’m not sure flat sales is good for Garmin or a harbinger of global recession. Regulatory and judicial scrutiny of Apple is probably eventually good for Garmin to the extent it expands access to iPhone features.
