Garmin Instinct 3 Will Get Music Added By Garmin.

I eagerly checked the specs of the Instinct 3 models at launch and laughed to myself at yet another obvious error included on Garmin’s site. Clearly, the 64Mb memory on the Instinct 2X had been doubled to 128 Mb for all the new Instinct 3 models. It’s just that silly-old Garmin had put it down as 4Gb on the AMOLED model. Ridiculous.
Then, my Instinct 3 AMOLED arrived soon after, and it has 4 GB of storage! Oops.

Don’t get your hopes up for official maps. That will likely need the same 16Gb given to Fenix E.

So, other than music, what could 4Gb of storage be used for?
A: Probably nothing. There might be a really cut-back maps service but 4Gb is less than even the 32Gb Fenix 6 Pro had.
Either Garmin expects that Instinct AMOLED users have an unusual need to store a lot of old workouts, or they’ll get music.
When will Instinct 3 AMOLED get Music?
I don’t know. In the meantime, it gives Marcus at dwMAP more leeway to cache route maps with his dwMAP tool.
Prediction or do you have Intel? It’s possible too that the AMOLED OS requires more and so they went for the smallest storage in GBs they could get a chip for. I like the idea tho!
a guess this time, sorry.
maybe there is some route-based map tile planned via Garmin Explore (doubtful)
No apology necc, just curious. I can’t believe 128mb was the storage on the Instinct Solar,
